With her 2 base charges Maya can potentially repair almost 11000 hp and this number can be increased up to 19,700 with combat signals and captain skills. This repair party is active for 28 seconds allowing Maya to potentially repair 5488hp for each use of her repair party. Her repair party is the same as Atago’s, queuing 50% of penetration damage and 33% of citadel damage received as well as all fire and flood damage. Maya's ability to absorb hits is further enhanced by her access to the Repair Party consumable, which allows her to stay fighting for an extended period. These flaws are partially offset by Maya's large health pool, exceeded only by French cruiser Toulon in tier. As with any cruiser, showing too much broadside can result in taking serious amounts of damage. Despite this, Maya's citadel presents a long and tempting target. There is also some extra protection provided by the presence of torpedo bulges along the length of her citadel, which can result in shells detonating before penetrating the main armor belt.
